What's on at the club
The Sorrento Portsea RSL is a community club at heart and our itinerary of events reflects that. Every year the club hosts some of the most important days on the calendar, plus there's regular live music at Tom Katz, and every Friday night is Members' Night.
Australia Day | January 26
Sorrento Portsea RSL’s Flag Raising Ceremony is a highlight of our annual events calendar. Commencing at 11.30 followed by a Community BBQ and live music. This is a must-attend event.
ANZAC Day | April 25
The highlight of our events calendar. We start the day with a 6 Dawn Service at the Sorrento Cenotaph. Then back to our clubrooms for a community Gun Fire Breakfast. At midday, we do our traditional street march, with band, from the main street to the Cenotaph. Guest speakers and a wreath-laying ceremony follow, after which everyone is invited to return to our clubrooms to enjoy an afternoon of live music and traditional RSL BBQ and raffles.
Remembrance Day | November 11
Every year at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month we commemorate those who have fallen in defence of our nation. We hold a service at the Sorrento Cenotaph followed by hospitality in our clubrooms.

Located in the Sorrento Portsea RSL, Tom Katz promotes live Australian music, encouraging both emerging and established entertainers.
