It’s the most important day of our year.  A community day of Celebration and Commemoration.

Anzac Day commenced at 6.00am on the Sorrento front beach foreshore at the Cenotaph.
An excellent crowd of around 1000 people experienced a wonderful service in our unique environment.
Many joined us afterwards for a free gun-fire breakfast at
Sorrento Portsea RSL.

Before noon, the traditional Anzac Day march proceeded down the hill to the Cenotaph again.  Again, a fantastic tribute to the profound contribution made to this country by all those men and women who have served – and who are currently serving – on behalf of all of us.

From noon, we welcomed the whole local community and visitors to the RSL for a family BBQ and the party got started with live music from our favourites, The Surrey Hills Mob and Cruizin.

It was also pleasing to see the Sorrento Sharks recognising the occasion and getting on board with their Anzac Day guernsey.
